The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is consolidating its surface water grant programs under a single administrative rule, Chapter NR 193.
The consolidated rule unites the surface water grant subprograms under one consistent set of procedures and policies, updates the program to current management standards and streamlines processes while continuing to provide financial support to protect and improve Wisconsin waters. This week, the department launched a new web page to explain the rulemaking process. You can use the information presented there to track progress and identify opportunities to participate.
How to get involved:
Public participation is a critical component of agency rulemaking. On the new web page you’ll find our timeline, current status, public input opportunities, and links proposed permanent rules page where important review documents are posted. Information related to NR 193 will be listed under NRB Order Number WY-18-15.
The web address is: https://dnr.wi.gov/Aid/nr193.html
