Lake Convention Update

March 15th is the last day to get a registration discount for Wisconsing Lakes Partnership Convention. Greeting message from Eric Olson, Director, UW Extension Lakes:

Some quick updates about the 2017 Wisconsin Lakes Partnership Convention in Stevens Point April 5-6-7. Our early bird registration period ends on Wednesday, we always recommend signing up early to save a little money and to ensure that you can get into your preferred workshops on Wednesday and Friday afternoon. All the info about Convention is on the web at this link: https://goo.gl/XeCvgb

For 2017, we are also offering a unique off-site daylong “workshop” on Wednesday April 5 hosted by our Thursday keynote speaker Wallace J. Nichols, author of the book Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do . He has arranged a set of national-level presenters who will discuss the different ways we all interact with water in each of our “Seven Ages” of water, from birth to death. This Blue Mind Summit will take place at SentryWorld in Stevens Point, and registration is separate from our usual convention registration process. You can view the list of speakers, find more on their backgrounds, and see registration details at this link: https://goo.gl/I4DFmK

All of our registration options are a la carte, so join us for as little or as much as you are interested in. If you can’t make it this year but know of someone who should come to our gathering of lake lovers, please forward this message along.

Thanks!
Eric
