The 2018 St. Croix Forestry Conference is less than a month away!
Wisconsin and Minnesota foresters, land managers, loggers, natural resource professionals and landowners interested in forest management and maintaining healthy watersheds are invited to attend:
The 2018 St. Croix Forestry Conference on February 28, 2018 at the Audubon Center of the North Woods in Sandstone, MN.
The theme of this year’s full-day conference is Managing the North Woods for the Future.
Join us as we explore the changes, threats and challenges facing the St. Croix watershed’s forested landscapes and the opportunities to manage them effectively for the future. Learn about ongoing research, emerging trends and new understandings and how they can be applied to keep our forests and waters healthy!

Keynote Address by Stephen Handler, Climate Change Specialist, USDA Forest Service and Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science
Plenary Address on Silviculture for a Changing World by Yvette Dickinson, Assistant Professor, Michigan Technological University
Optional Walking Tour of Audubon Center’s Ongoing Forest Management led by Bryan Wood, Executive Director of the Audubon Center

The conference will open at 8am with opening remarks commencing at 8:30am. The conference will conclude at 3:15pm and be immediately followed by the optional walking tour of the Audubon Center, which will last until 4:30pm.
The cost of the conference is $35 and includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
CFE credits are available.
Conference: 5 Category 1 credits; Walking Tour: additional 1 Category 1 credit.
